Wolf Robe (1838-1910)

Chief Wolf Robe was an important Southern Cheyenne  leader. In 1876 the Cheyenne joined the Lakota and defeated Col. George Custer at the Battle of The Little Bighorn. It is widely held that the Indian profile on the Indian Head/Buffalo Nickel, is Wolf Robe.
